Founded in 2008 by a small group of NC brewers, the North Carolina Craft Brewers Guild today serves as the primary advocate for breweries statewide. With a membership of 300+ independent craft breweries and 200+ allied supporters, we work together to proudly support North Carolina as a leader among the top 10 craft beer states in the nation. Breweries are invigorating our rural downtowns, driving tourism across the state, and producing beers that showcase a culture of craftsmanship from our mountains to the sea.


The Guild, coupled with the NC Craft Brewers Foundation and PAC, are dedicated to the well-being of the NC craft beer industry. Your partnership increases the Guild’s ability to provide vigilant advocacy, exceptional educational programming, and top-notch promotion. 

The Guild continues to fortify NC craft beer by bringing together the different sectors of the industry for a common purpose - to strengthen, innovate, and sustain. Together, each partner and sector provides expertise and thought leadership that contributes to that purpose. Over the last few years, we have broadened our alliances to tourism agencies, government agencies (NC Dept of Transportation, NC Dept. of Commerce, NC Dept. of Agriculture, NC Dept. of Labor), retailers, sports and entertainment outlets, educational institutions and media partners. 


The Guild is seeking partners that desire a greater impact beyond event sponsorship. These partnerships form deeper relationships within the broader community, aimed at taking independent craft beer to a new level in North Carolina.
