Bar Manager (Full-Time)

The Bar Manager plays a key role in delivering that experience. This is a leadership position rooted in hospitality and driven by a passion for people, product, and place. They lead the front-of-house team, ensure smooth daily operations, and foster a welcoming space that invites guests to linger a little longer.

In addition to managing staff and day-to-day service, the Bar Manager helps execute strategic initiatives that drive taproom sales, elevate brand perception, and create unforgettable guest experiences. This position is essential in ensuring the Heyday spirit is felt in every corner of our space; from a perfectly poured pint to a thoughtfully curated event.

    • Gain and retain extensive knowledge of Heyday Brewing beers and our production methods while having the ability to thoroughly educate and concisely communicate our story and products to our guests.

    • Provide premier hospitality during events, regular service and off- site events.

    • Drive can and merchandise sales by leading with enthusiasm and helping to implement an effective incentive program.

    • Create an exceptional bar program, with rotating seasonal cocktails, wine, and non-alcoholic options that pair with food specials.

    • Take initiative in implementing the company-wide vision and strategy through strong leadership skills.

    • Focus on always creating an informative and enjoyable environment for guests, such that they will be compelled to share our story and products after they leave.

    • Assist other departments and employees as needed to foster a team environment in which we achieve established financial goals together.

    • Assist Owner, Brewer & Social Media & Events Manager with planning and organizing on and off-site events, both public and private.

      Specific Responsibilities and Duties (including but not limited to):

    • Properly train new staff, create and monitor schedules, and enforce tasting room manual policies and codes of conduct.

    • Create and monitor bar schedule with budget in mind, considering overtime

    • Send bar tips to payroll daily

    • Manage and run the POS, monitoring comps, voids, refunds, etc.

    • Maintain and monitor the drawer and change bank, make change as necessary, audit and account for cash and drawer reports, and assist with bi-weekly cash deposit.

    • Manage bar inventory and order all supplies and ingredients necessary for smooth service and operation.

    • Plan and produce new renditions of the bar menu seasonally in line with our costing structure.

    • Upkeep inventory and display of merchandise and cans.

    • Engage in cost control.

    • Check guest identification, ensuring authenticity, to confirm guests are of legal drinking age.

    • Keep the entirety of the brewery facilities clean and organized at all times to maintain a presentable environment and efficient workspace (bar, backbar, bathrooms, patio, exterior, etc.).

    • Answer phones politely, conduct phone orders, and record thorough messages to be emailed to the appropriate person.

    • Perform any other duties as assigned by a supervisor

    • Previous management experience leading an F&B or Bar Staff required; experience in Craft Beer, Mixology or Hospitality highly preferred

    • Knowledge of the inner workings of draught lines, including C02, Nitro, and cask

    • Strong work ethic and self-starting attitude

    • Superior interpersonal skills and team spirit

    • Ability to demonstrate sound decision making

    • The desire to work in a fast-paced, growing company

    • Previous experience hiring, training, and developing staff

    • Strong computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office and Toast POS system

    • Available to work full-time, including nights and weekends. Suggested work week is Tuesday through Saturday

    • Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application

    • Able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment background check

      Physical and Mental Requirements

    • Able to stand for prolonged periods of time

    • Able to stoop, crawl, twist, turn, lift, kneel, climb ladders and stairs

    • Able to manipulate valves and clamps

    • Able to read and follow written English instructions

    • Able to periodically lift/move up to 165 pounds (kegs, sixtels, cases of beer and other tasting room products)

Trophy Brewing Company (Raleigh, NC)

Brewer / Cellarperson (Full-Time)

Posted August 5, 2025 | Trophy Brewing Co. is looking to add a brewer/cellarperson to our team. This person will be working at our production facility on Maywood Ave. We are interested in someone who appreciates the Trophy Brewing vision and loves contributing in a team environment. We manage our brewery personnel such that they rotate through different production related duties regularly.

  • Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

    • Working to become familiar and proficient in all aspects of brewery operations per our SOPs and direction

    • Training on and brewing on a 20BBL brewing system autonomously

    • Training on and running/helping maintain a 30 cpm canning line, including rotationally helping on pack-off

    • Common cellar duties including but not limited to: transferring beer, kegging beer, cleaning tanks, dry hopping, running our centrifuge and general cleaning according to SOPs Other supporting duties in the brewery include keg washing, organization, and Quality Assurance on products

    • Clean and safe handling of chemicals

    • Clean and consistent handling of yeast and yeast pitching according to SOPs

    • Rotating inventory and inventory management.

    • Occasionally working a beer festival

    • 2+ years of experience or education in the field

    • Forklift certification a plus

    • Able to move 15.5gal kegs and repeatedly lift 55lbs

    • Ability to multi-task in an efficient and effective manner

Radar Brewing Company (Winston-Salem, NC)

Head Brewer (Full-Time)

Posted July 18, 2025 | We are hiring a Head Brewer to oversee brewing operations from grain to glass. This is a hands-on, full-time position ideal for a passionate and experienced brewer looking to lead a small, independent brewery with the flexibility to influence recipes, process, and culture. You will be responsible for day-to-day production, quality control, cellar management, and working with ownership to align brewing with sales goals and future plans.

    • Execute all aspects of the brewing process including milling, mashing, lautering, boiling, whirlpooling, fermentation, dry hopping, cellaring, and packaging (kegging/canning)

    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized brewery environment

    • Monitor and manage fermentation, carbonation, and conditioning timelines to meet production schedules

    • Help plan and manage brewing calendar in coordination with the owner and sales needs

    • Maintain inventory of raw materials and packaging supplies, and work with vendors on timely reordering

    • Record production accurately and consistently

    • Represent Radar Brewing at occasional festivals or off-site events

    • Support taproom with draft-line cleanliness

    • 2+ years of professional brewing experience preferred

    • Familiarity with brewing equipment, cellar operations, and basic mechanical troubleshooting

    • Working knowledge of sanitation procedures, fermentation management, and packaging techniques

    • Ability to manage time independently and stay organized in a small-team environment.

    • Commitment to quality, consistency, and cleanliness

    • Ability to lift 55+ lbs, stand for long periods, and work in hot/cold/wet environments

    • Bonus Experience (Not Required): Recipe development and pilot brewing experience; Familiarity with TTB and NC ABC reporting

Glass Jug Beer Lab (Downtown Durham, NC)

Taproom & Events Manager (Full-Time)

Posted July 18, 2025 | The Glass Jug is currently seeking a Taproom Manager for our Downtown Durham taproom as our beloved current manager leaves for graduate school. This person will oversee our Downtown Durham taproom as well as our Off-site Events program, which operates primarily out of the Downtown Durham taproom.

    • The Taproom Manager plays an integral role in building business through revenue monitoring, event and promotion planning, and relationship building. They also manage our team of bartenders and ensure the taproom has all the resources needed to succeed.

    • At this time, we are looking for a great cultural fit. We have a great atmosphere and community at this taproom, and we are looking for someone who can bring their own unique flair to an already thriving community while helping us generate increasing revenue. Haw River Farmhouse Ales

Cellarperson & Production Assistant (Full-Time)

Posted April 30, 2025 | Haw River Farmhouse Ales, a small (1500bbl/year) family-owned craft brewery located in Saxapahaw, NC since 2014, is currently interviewing candidates for a full-time Cellarperson/Production Assistant position to join our small but dedicated brewery team.

    • Assist with canning/packaging days at the brewery. This is a primary part of the role.

    • Perform routine cellaring operations under the oversight of the Head Brewer, including but not limited to: tank CIP/SIP, cleaning of vessel exteriors, keg washing, keg filling, inventories, etc... Professional experience preferred, but training provided. The motivated candidate will have room for advancement in this area.

    • Driving/learning to safely drive a variety of work vehicles, including 15+ft box trucks.

    • Preparation, loading and safe transportation of finished pallets of beer among locations.

    • Daily brewery maintenance and cleaning, as well as scheduled maintenance and cleaning days at both brewery and storage facility.

    • Accept/process deliveries at the brewery (raw supplies, packaging supplies, etc...) and document appropriately. Forklift and pallet jack operation required; experience preferred, but training provided.

    • Participate in sensory/palate training.

    • Assist occasionally with off-site events, such as beer festivals.

    • Assist Head Brewer with other assigned tasks, such as inventory, logistics, etc…

    • A good candidate will have an opportunity to eventually be trained on our 10bbl brewhouse.

    • High school/GED or higher

    • Safety consciousness

    • Eagerness to engage and learn

    • Attention to detail

    • Ability to work independently & as part of a team

    • Communicate clearly with all team members

    • Commercial brewery experience is a plus
