WHERE TO FIND US
SOUTH DORTON ARENA LOBBY

Showcase your beer. Support your Guild!

As our primary fundraiser of the year, and the primary source of our annual funding for operations, the NC Public House showcases dozens of breweries, wineries, and cideries across North Carolina. Daily offerings will include several different styles of craft beer, wine, and cider, including award-winning examples of each.

The Public House is located in the South Lobby of Dorton Arena, right across from the most heavily trafficked entrance to the Fair and opposite the largest Ferris wheel on the fairgrounds. Over one million visitors attend the NC State Fair each year, and we anticipate reaching a projected attendance of approximately 20,000+ people over 11 days. The NC Public House is an extraordinary marketing opportunity to introduce your product to a new and diverse audience.

How You Can Help?

Participation is limited to brewery members of the Guild, and NC independent wineries and cideries.

Product Information

There is a strict ABV limit. No beer can be accepted above 7.0% ABV (per State Fair requirement.)

  • All product provided must be approved by the NC ABC.

  • The Public House serves as an introduction to craft beer for many of the 45,000+ guests. Approachable styles tend to pour best.

  • Empty kegs need to be picked up on Monday, October 28 & Tuesday, October 29 from the Fairgrounds, as we will not have secured storage after these dates.

Marketing Information

We anticipate daily traffic may be as high as 2,000 people/day at the Public House. The NC Public House will be promoted via a variety of partners, resulting in broad state-wide outreach. Examples include:

  • Banners at multiple gates throughout the Fair

  • Regular PA announcements during the Fair

  • Inclusion in the 2024 Daily Schedule, with map listing

  • Promotion via Untappd

Social media promotion via NCCBG, NC State Fair, NC Wine, and participating breweries and wineries (participants will receive turn-key media kits.) PR campaign to statewide media outlets (print, TV, radio, online and podcasts)

Ask A Brewer: Sit in a rocking chair under our "Ask the Brewer" tent and answer questions from curious fairgoers while enjoying some NC brews.

Share your knowledge of the many aspects of beer with fairgoers! This is a great option for malt/hop/yeast companies, other ingredient-focused businesses, sustainability resources, homebrew clubs and shops, educators, law offices, bottle shops, visitor bureaus, consumer-forward companies, historians, or anyone who can teach our highly interested consumers about a process within NC's craft beer industry!

Vendors will be able to set up a 6ft table display and pass out information about their company to fans. Swag items are highly recommended but not necessary. Ask a brewer will take place on NC Beer Night on October 25, from 6-8 PM.

Donate Your Time!

Support your Guild by sending a brewery representative to work a volunteer shift, and educate folks on your product and your business!

As a volunteer, you receive $20 off our 2024 NCCBC registration and a free pass to the State Fair. In exchange, we will display your company banner for the duration of that business day.
