Hop Into Spring Returns April 1st, Inviting North Carolinians to Gather at Breweries Across the State

Spring has sprung in North Carolina, and craft breweries across the state continue to bring communities together as welcoming gathering spaces. This April, the North Carolina Craft Brewers Guild launches Hop Into Spring, a statewide campaign inviting residents and visitors to check out local breweries, discover seasonal releases, and support small businesses.

Presented in partnership with Lowes Foods and Untappd, the campaign highlights the 400 independent breweries and brewpubs across the state and encourages people to spend time in places that bring neighbors, friends, and families together.

Throughout April, North Carolina breweries will celebrate the season with fresh beer releases, seasonal merch, outdoor events, and taproom experiences that make gathering and connecting easy. While events will vary by brewery, many will host live music, beer releases, food trucks, and other meetups. Guests should check with individual locations for details.

NC Pint Day: Sunday, April 12

A centerpiece of the Hop Into Spring campaign, NC Pint Day, returns Sunday, April 12th, with a limited-edition collectible glass available for purchase at participating breweries and retailers across North Carolina. This year’s design, created by Asheville-based artist Sadie Tynch, features native wildlife and agriculture together in a lively scene that reflects the mutual experience of gathering over a pint of beer.

Proceeds from the glassware support the North Carolina Craft Brewers Guild and its work to support the state’s independent breweries by providing resources, promoting industry-friendly policies, offering educational programs, and organizing events that help small businesses build community connections.

“Breweries are an important gathering place for North Carolinians,” said Lisa Parker, Executive Director of the North Carolina Craft Brewers Guild. “Hop Into Spring is an opportunity to explore, enjoy, and support the local businesses that help bring people together.”

Consumers can earn a special Hop Into Spring Untappd badge by checking in at any North Carolina craft brewery using the Untappd app between April 1 and April 30. Untappd is a mobile app that lets beer fans log and share the beers they try at breweries and venues.
